Client: Unilever Streets Paddle Pop
Paddle Pop 'Lick-a-Prize', an Australian promotional marketing icon needed rebooting. The 'match sticks to win' mechanic had dated, with the perceived chance of winning low amongst kids. The 'Magilika’ app was then introduced, becoming the key feature of the 2014 promotion by providing an interactive platform for bespoke games, movie content and augmented reality experiences as instant win prizes.
Working closely with our development team, I designed the app's user-interface while also adapting global assets, providing art direction for gaming environments and created new iconography that is consistent with world of Paddle Pop Magilika.
The Paddle Pop Magilika app received outstanding results with 56,250 app downloads - 11,810 average monthly users - 804 average daily users.
It has also won Best Consumer Goods Mobile App and Food Industry Mobile App at the 2015 IAC Awards.
