My passion project, my business, my creative quest...
In early 2015, my sister Kassandra and I were introduced to the world of weaving. We fell instantly in love with this ancient craft and through extensive trial and experimentation, we have reached a clear aesthetic that we are both proud of. Each piece is an extension of our dual personalities and Mother Nature. We aim to inspire, evoke emotion, conjure memories and new experiences; ultimately highlight the innate connection that we are all threads that make up the tapestry of life.
My cumulative experience in advertising and design allows me to practice
Instagram has become our leading channel in generating business for Crossing Threads. I am incredibly passionate about the power of social media and using it effectively to garner an enthusiastic following and maintaining engagement with our community.
Crossing Threads has had the opportunity to collaborate and exhibit along side some of Australia's leading fashion designers and fibre artists, including Christopher Esber (MBFWA 2016), Natalie Miller and Jacqui Fink (Thread + Colour Exhibition, 2016).
I am the type of person who is not phased by hard work and making time for doing what I love. Crossing Threads is no doubt a passion project, but also a reflection of my capacity and tenacity whilst leading a full-time job.
